Assistance with Employment Seminars:
MEIST will offer a seminar on June 29th 2015, starting at 4:30 pm and concluding at 7:00 pm, which is catered to assist teachers in their quest to seek employment. This coincides well with the release of teaching positions from the DETE schools and is excellent preparation for the positions offered in Independent and Catholic schools throughout semester 2. The venue is the Drama Theatre in the Michael Murray Centre in the grounds of Westminster School, Marion.
This seminar doesn’t only just cater for the needs of Science and Mathematics teachers. Those who teach from Junior Primary through to Senior Secondary and across all disciplines, as well as across all Teaching Sectors are welcome to participate.
The seminar is broken down into two sessions. The first session looks at the approach to application writing and the second looks at the interview process.
The first part of the seminar concentrates on the art of writing a job application. This session usually takes approximately 1 and a half hours. The second part of the seminar looks at the preparation necessary to prepare for the job interview. This session runs for approximately one hour. Normally, the cost of these sessions combined is $410.00 but this session is greatly discounted to $290.00 [$261.00 for members]. There are limited numbers so early registration is recommended.
To register, simply fill in the registration form and send. Alternatively, you can send an email to enquire further to info@meist.com.au
