MEIST offers many opportunities for schools to provide Professional Learning opportunities for their teachers to improve their pedagogy. Schools can also take up a membership which entitles the school to be able to send two staff to each Professional Learning workshop on offer. More about this can be viewed on the Membership page.

Subject to availability, these opportunities may be in the form of:

• One on one mentoring with a personal mentor for staff who require guidance in any area that the teacher may consider has weaknesses.
• Provide workshops designed to improve the delivery of Science and Mathematics teaching
• Professional Learning workshops for a small group or entire Science or Mathematics faculty
• Assistance in preparation of materials for use in the classroom
• Assistance in course writing
• Visiting schools and spending time working with staff during non-preparation time or in time slots allocated by the school.
